Evangelization of orphans

We greet you with the love and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ, our dear brothers and sisters from the USA!

We thank God for His mercy and for His protection in this very difficult time of war for us. Almost 700 days have passed since this full-scale war began in Ukraine. And despite this, during this entire year that has passed in our lives, we missionaries of the PIEI Ukraine mission were able, this year, to preach the Word in the Power of the Holy Spirit, in this time of war. I say that they preached in the Power of the Holy Spirit, because there are many people who repented and many souls made a Covenant with Jesus Christ through water baptism in the past year.

1. On January 7, our fellow villagers celebrated the Nativity of Christ, and our church also celebrated with them. Our youth walked around the village with carols and congratulated people on the holiday of Christmas, distributed spiritual calendars to them, as well as invitations to our evangelization. I preached a sermon in church on the topic: “What blessings did the Birth of Jesus Christ bring to us people of this world.” The youth choir sang beautiful psalms about the birth of Christ and recited poems about the end of this war. Everyone had tears in their eyes and the whole church prayed for peace in Ukraine and Israel. We pray for all those people who came to evangelize and heard the Word of God.

2. After this, our youth prepared 200 bags of gifts for orphans. On January 14, my wife Larisa and I took these gifts to a home for minor children, which is located in the center of the city, and in Sadgora, where there was once a boarding school. Now widows live there with children orphans from this war, we also visited 5 families who are raising 15-16 children adopted from boarding schools. All these disadvantaged people were very grateful to God and to us for these gifts. We sang carols with them where we glorified the Born Messiah Jesus Christ. We told them that if everything goes well and God helps us, then we invite everyone to a meeting for widows and orphans, which we planned in the month of May, this year. There will be good food for them and various children's activities. Only if God gives us peace and health. They were very happy about this and will all be praying for this meeting. We also pray for this action of mercy that we have planned for widows and orphans.

3. At the Bible Institute I studied the book of Hebrews. This blessed book surprises all who study it, because only Jesus can give true blessed peace to all people. Only Jesus Christ can stop the war.

-I’m also preparing for the next month, February, to study the book of Exodus together with the teachers of the Bible Institute. If only God would give peace, health and tranquility to our region where we live.

4.Thanksgiving:

-We sincerely thank you, brothers and sisters from the USA, for your support and for your prayers for us and for Ukraine. Thanks to you, we can work and serve God here successfully and for the Glory of God. Thank you for praying for us and we were able to carry out evangelization and charity campaigns with orphans and widows, glory to God!

-We thank God for protecting our Bukovina from missile attacks and we can serve God here peacefully and calmly.

-We thank God for giving us health so that we can work in His Holy Vineyard.

- Another thanks to God for the fact that the team of missionary brother Grigory Kioresko was not injured this morning, 18/01, in an accident on the road to Gostomel. Their bus was damaged by a collision with a large truck, but they are alive and well, thank God. God is Almighty! Thank God that the humanitarian products also arrived by another bus to Gostomel and people received the long-awaited help from the products. Our brothers simply loaded the boxes of food into another bus and it went further to Gostomel, and brother Kioresko’s bus was loaded onto a tow truck and taken for repairs. And thank God for the fact that these brothers who were traveling on this bus and who had an accident were left with only minor injuries. Only brother Grigory Kioresko has chest pains. We pray for him that nothing serious happens.

5.Prayer needs:

-Continue to pray for peace in Ukraine and Israel.

-Pray for brother Kioresko that the Lord will heal him from this chest blow, and that specialists will be able to repair his bus.

-Pray for the missiles to stop flying all over Ukraine.

-Pray for our soldiers who are there at the front defending our country, so that the Lord will protect them from death.

-Pray for our soldiers who were captured by enemies, so that they will be released or exchanged for other prisoners.

-Pray that the Lord will give wisdom to our president and everyone who commands our army so that they will make wise decisions for our country.

-Pray for our churches. Now we have a new flu epidemic and people cannot come to church. May God save us all from illness and from this flu.

We also pray for you, our dear brothers and sisters from the USA, that the Lord will protect you from all evil and bless you abundantly.

Please accept my heartfelt greetings from my family. We love you and are praying for you.

With love to you family Petikhachnyy Pavel and Larysa.

Celebration of the Nativity of Jesus Christ

Dear brothers and sisters from the USA, our partners in the gospel here in Ukraine, we greet you with the love and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ!

We are grateful to God that, even though we have been going through this terrible war in Ukraine for 684 days now, we can preach the Word of God with all our might to everyone who wants to listen to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We thank God that there have been no enemy missiles in our area yet, so we can preach the Word of God to all people here, and not only preach but also help our displaced people and financially give them bags of food. We are glad to help these people because more and more often we can hear from their lips - Thank God for everything! This means that the Name of the Lord is glorified among such people, and we pray for such people that the Lord will change their hearts to repentance before God.

1. We, together with our church and with the churches of the Novoseletsky district, celebrated the Nativity of Christ on December 25.

-First of all, I congratulated these churches with Bible verses and asked everyone to pray even harder for this terrible war in Ukraine to end in 2024.

-On December 25, I preached 2 sermons in our church where non-believers were also present, for whom we prayed that they would repent. The youth also had a beautiful program to glorify the Lord. We gave calendars to everyone present, and we are also preparing calendars and other Christian literature for people from the village who will celebrate Christmas on January 7th. Our youth will walk around the village and invite people to evangelize with us, and at the same time they will sing carols and glorify the Lord Messiah through chants. We also pray for this ministry.

-Our missionary wives also had one meeting, in Novoselitsa, at the Emmanuel Church, where our brother missionary pastor Valery Popov serves. I had a word there for them on the topic of Mary and Martha, two sisters from the New Testament. Our sisters were greatly encouraged by the Word of God and prayers before our Lord.

2. At the Bible Institute we are working on the Bible book of the Epistle to the Hebrews. I have already done 5 lessons from this book, Thank God.

-In the near future I will teach students the book of the Acts of the Holy Apostles, pray for me that the Lord will help me teach this book in the Power of the Holy Spirit.

3.During the Christmas holiday I visited many sick people and helped them with food packages, thank God I was able to help these people.

4.Currently, young families from our church are preparing 200 gifts for orphans from the Chernivtsi region. Together with Larisa, my wife, we will distribute these gifts to orphans in Homes for orphans in our region, and in the homes of families who have taken in raising orphans from boarding schools. Pray for us too, that the Lord will give us strength and health for this service, which will take place in mid-January.

5.News from Ukraine:

-Before the New Year, December 29, the enemies fired 158 missiles, as well as drones and suicide bombers, into the cities of Ukraine. Many missiles were shot down, and many exploded, destroying residential buildings and killing many people. On January 2, 98 missiles were fired again. We pray for those people.

Thank God that God had mercy on us and there were no enemy missiles arriving in our area.

6.Thanksgiving:

We are grateful to the Lord for His protection last month and from the beginning of this year, 2024. We hope for God's mercy and support throughout the whole year.

-We are always grateful to God for you, brothers and sisters from the USA, for your prayers and for your support for us.

7.Prayer needs:

-Continue to pray for the end of the war in Ukraine and Israel.

-Pray for our missionaries who are working to serve among the displaced. We have 2 missionaries who constantly travel and deliver humanitarian aid to people living near the front line. Those people are looking forward to receiving this help.

-Pray that it will continue to be quiet and calm here, without the arrival of enemy missiles, so that we can serve God fruitfully. So that the Lord opens the hearts of these people to repentance.

-Pray for those who listened to the word of God last month that they would repent.

-Pray for our further evangelizations, so that there will be success in the gospel.

-About evangelization among orphans.

And we constantly pray for you, dear brothers and sisters, our partners in the gospel, that the Lord will bless you richly and give you a hundredfold blessing for your sacrifice and support for Ukraine.

Please accept heartfelt greetings from our family. We love you and are praying for you.

With love to you PETIKHACHNYY family Pavel and Larysa.

Baptism of two souls

We greet you with the love of our Lord Jesus Christ, dear brothers and sisters from the USA - our partners in preaching the Gospel here in Ukraine!

Before my small report for the half of the month of December, the last month of this year, we want to congratulate all of you, our partners in evangelizing the Gospel in Ukraine, from the USA, on the holidays of the Nativity of Jesus Christ and Happy New Year, 2024!

We wish you all that the Lord will bless you and your families, your churches and your country of the USA with abundant blessings: health, peace, success, happiness and much joy in Christ Jesus!

We are very grateful to God and to you, brothers and sisters, for not forgetting us and supporting us in your prayers and helping us in this difficult time of war for us. Yes, every day we hope in God that soon this war will end for us. But more than 660 days have passed since this invasion began in Ukraine, and the war is still going on. Every day and night there are arrivals of enemy missiles in the cities of Ukraine. Homes and infrastructure are destroyed and people die. For three days now, the telephone system of the Kyiv Star campaign has been broken, and people have been without communication. Three days later the connection was restored. But that's not the worst thing. The worst thing is that so many people and children are dying. We pray and hope only for the mercy of our Lord. He is our Protection and Stronghold - Glory to Him!

-Although it is difficult for us, the Lord helped me so that throughout this month I would have great blessings in my ministry.

1. Two souls were baptized in the church in the village of Nesvoi. For this baptism we prepared another sister who repented in our camp in 2022, but she went to live with her grandmother in another place and was unable to be baptized. We pray for her. Her name is Alina.

-In the church of the village of Podvirna, one woman repented. Her name is Maria. She also wanted to be baptized this month, but left it until the summer of 2024, when her children will arrive from abroad. We also pray for Sister Maria.

2. I took part in a regional pastoral conference where our brothers who are in the leadership of our brotherhood in Ukraine were also present. The pastor brothers from Kyiv gave us good instructions. Before this conference, I visited all the pastors in our area and sent them these invitations to this conference, as well as congratulatory letters for their churches, which are associated with the Christmas holidays and Happy New Year 2024.

3. In the church of the village of Nesvoya, an evangelization was held with the participation of guests from Moldova and the Zhernovey family, brother Andrei and sister Maria. The Word of God was preached in the Power of the Holy Spirit, and this family glorified the Lord with singing, singing blessed songs to the glory of the Lord. The good news is that during this evangelization there were also non-believers who listened to the Word of God. We pray for them.

4. I teach lessons from the book of Revelation, part 4, at the Bible Institute. This textbook is very interesting and everyone studies this textbook with love. There are many questions: - How are the events that take place in the book of Revelation connected with the events that are currently taking place in Ukraine and Israel. We try to answer these questions from the Word that is written in the book of Revelation and from Scripture.

5.Thanksgiving

-We thank God that He protects our missionaries and they can convey the Word of God to unbelievers and displaced people.

-We are grateful to our brothers and sisters from the USA for supporting us in their prayers before God, and also supporting us financially.

-We are grateful to God that there are no enemy missiles arriving in our region yet and we hope in God that He will continue to save us from these attacks from which our entire Ukraine is suffering.

-We thank you for praying for those 3 souls who should be baptized. Thank God, two of them have already been baptized, Lyudmila and Pavel.

6.Prayer needs

-Pray with us for those souls who have received water baptism. So that the Lord strengthens their faith. Lyudmila’s husband is an unbeliever and she is now going through trials. Pray for Lyudmila that the Lord will strengthen her faith, so that she will bring her husband George to repentance.

-Also pray for Mary from the church in the village of Podvirne. So that the Lord would help her enter into a covenant with Him through water baptism in the summer of 2024.

-Pray for all those who want to make a covenant with Jesus Christ in 2024. So that the Lord prepares them.

-Pray for the war to end in Ukraine and Israel.

-So that we can hold Christian youth and children's camps in 2024. May the Lord help us in this matter and in our service. We rely only on God and His help.

-Pray for the Bible lessons that I teach to students at the Institute. Pray that students will understand Bible truths so that they will be able to continue to proclaim the Word to others.

-Pray for all our missionaries, that the Lord will give us all strength and health so that we can serve God by helping people find the True Path.

-So that there are no further arrivals of enemy missiles into our region where we work for God.

-So that we can organize good holiday evangelizations for Christmas and New Year 2024.

-So that we can organize this at the end of this month the Christmas holiday for orphans, where we will feed and give gifts to 200 orphans.

We always pray for you and love you. May the Lord bless you richly. We wish you to spend the Christmas and New Year 2024 holidays blessedly, joyfully, in peace and harmony.

With love to you family Petikhachnyy Pavel and Larysa.

Regional pastoral conference

Dear brothers and sisters, our evangelistic partners from the USA, we greet you with the love and peace of Jesus Christ!

We are very grateful to God for His mercy and support this month too. For 650 days now the war has been raging in Ukraine and we live by the grace of the Lord - Glory to Him for everything!

I am grateful to the Lord that this month God has given us success in preaching the Gospel.

1. I organized a pastoral conference with pastors of the Novoseletsky district and with pastors of the regional office of the ECB, Chernivtsi region. Lessons taught at this conference:

Pavel Petikhachny taught from the textbook on Kolosyan, and Brother Grigory Kioresko and the regional presbyter, Brother Manoliy Vasilyevich answered all the questions that the pastors of the regional churches asked them. They also had good edifying sermons for our pastors. One group sang at this meeting, that is, one Zhernovey family, brother Andrei and sister Mariyka. They praised God with blessed songs.

-And a week later we had another meeting - the Annual Meeting of missionaries of the PIEI Ukraine mission. At this meeting, all our missionaries reported for their work for the 4th quarter, 2023. At the same time, we prayed for their prayer needs, and also prayed for our partners from the United States who help us with everything we need, so that we have something to help displaced people, orphans and other people who need our help.

2. We held the breaking of bread in two churches and after the service in the church I visited many sick people with the breaking of bread both in the village of Nesvoya and in Chernivtsi we have sick members of our church.

-We also helped two patients with cancer. We went to their house and my wife cooked food for them, and I spoke to them the Word of God and prayed for them so that the Lord would have mercy on them.

-I visited one brother in the hospital. He ended up there after a stroke. I brought him food and prayed for him to get better. Thank God that he is already better and I visited him at home. They prayed together and he praised God for the healing.

3.Nursing ministry.

-November 6, our sisters had a day of fasting and prayer since this day is a worldwide sisterhood day of fasting and prayer on the topic: Breath of Life from Job 33:4. Our sisters prayed and thanked God for His protection during this war. Prayed for the ministry of all Evangelical Baptist sisters around the world. We prayed for this bloodshed to end both in Ukraine and Israel.

-On November 11, we had a regional conference of sisters from our entire region on the topic: Bridges to Hearts. The theme is about God's love. God's love unites all hearts. Thank God there was a blessed meeting, blessed sermons and heartfelt prayers where almost 600 sisters united to pray to God so that the Lord would bless our Ukraine. So that the Lord will deliver us from this war. We prayed for Israel so that the war would stop. We prayed that the Lord would bless the ministry of our churches in Ukraine. We praise God for the fact that through the service of our believing sisters the Name of our Lord is glorified. They prepare food for soldiers on the front line, feed orphans, and help widows and displaced people. They are in our churches and Marthas and Marys - Thank God for such sisters. The Lord will reward all those who serve Him zealously and with love.

4.Thanksgiving:

-We are very grateful to God for the fact that not a single enemy missile from the missiles that are attacking our Ukraine hit our region, our Bukovina. This is the mercy of the Lord - Glory to Him for His protection.

-We thank the brothers from the USA for helping us with everything we need and our 2 missionary brothers regularly bring this help to broken cities, as well as where there are battles. And here we are helping all the refugees in Bukovina.

5.Prayer needs:

-Pray with us that this bloody war will end, where many children, young men, women and men are dying.

-Pray that the Lord will give us health and support so that we missionaries of the PIEI Ukraine mission do not get tired of helping those in need and so that we serve them.

-Pray for our 4 sisters who suffer from cancer (Emilia, Lydia, Tamara and Jeta) and for our brother George after a stroke. He is having a hard time recovering. So that the Lord would heal them and strengthen their faith.

-Pray for those unbelievers who heard the Word of God at our evangelizations, so that the Lord would test their hearts for repentance.

And we pray for you, brothers and sisters, our partners in evangelizing the Gospel here in Ukraine. May the Lord bless you and your families, your churches and your country USA. May the Peace and Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen!

With love to you family Petikhachniy Pavel and Larisa.

Harvest day in our region

We greet you with the peace and love of our Jesus Christ, our dear brothers and sisters in Christ from the USA!

We praise and thank the Lord for His mercy over us and His protection in this difficult time of war for us. The war in Ukraine has been raging for 623 days now. And the children of God serve God even in this difficult time, helping other people in need, always praying before the Lord so that God will protect his children.

This month we and our church choir conducted three large evangelizations. And at these evangelizations there were many people listening to the Word of God.

1. We held the first evangelization with the choir in the church of the village of Balkovtsy, where together with this church we thanked God for the wonderful harvest this year. There were good sermons, songs of praise and poems where we praised the Lord for His mercy and Grace to us. At this evangelization there were unbelievers with whom we talked at the end of the meeting. Through our conversations we directed their eyes to Jesus Christ. He is our Advocate with God the Father and He is our Savior.

In this time of war, our hope is Christ, we cannot rely on anyone, but only on God, who will give us His peace and healing.

-We held the second evangelization in a church from the village of Podvirnoe, which is located near the border with Moldova. There, too, we organized a Day of Thanksgiving to the Lord for the fruits of the earth and for spiritual fruits. Fewer non-believers were present at this evangelization, but at the end of the evangelization these people remained to ask us questions. My brothers and I who were with me answered their questions. We pray that they understand the Word of God and that the Lord will test their hearts for repentance.

2.Funeral:

-We also held the third evangelization in Podvirnoye, where we held the funeral of a 62-year-old man, his name was Peter. This was the husband of sister Mary, for whom we constantly prayed and who wanted to be baptized. Her husband drank heavily and got sick because of it. We praise God that before his death he repented at the request of his daughter. Now sister Maria says that I will not delay baptism. I will accept it in the near future, if only the Lord helps me with this. There will be baptism in Chernivtsi at the beginning of December and we are already preparing sister Maria to make a covenant with the Lord Jesus Christ through water baptism.

There were many non-believers at this funeral, almost 50 people. The Word was preached in the Power of the Holy Spirit. I also preached about the Divinity of Christ from John. It was interesting to me that all the people who listened to the Word of God at home, all went to accompany the deceased to the cemetery and there they also listened to the Word of God carefully. A choir glorified God through psalms and poems. After the funeral we had fellowship with these people and invited them to our meetings. We pray for these people that the Lord will touch these hearts and give these people repentance.

3.Teaching at the Bible Institute:

-My students and I teach the book of St. Paul’s Epistle to the Romans in churches. This is a very useful and edifying book.

-In the church of the village of Nesvoya, I teach the book of Romans in order to establish the church in faith and in expectation of the Lord Jesus Christ, and when Christ comes, so that the church is ready to meet Him in the air.

4.News from Ukraine:

-On the South-Eastern side of Ukraine there are very fierce battles to liberate Ukraine from enemies.

-All the churches in our region have prayed and are praying for an end to this war. For peace in Ukraine. For peace in Israel.

-Our brother missionary Kioresko Gregory continues to bring humanitarian aid to the city of Gostomel, Kyiv region, and preaches the Word of God to the people there. People come and listen to the Word of God with love.

5.Thanksgiving:

-We, the missionaries of the PIE Ukraine mission, are grateful to our brother-partners from the USA and Romania for helping us financially and spiritually to carry out this difficult service in Ukraine during this time of war.

-We thank God for the fact that we, together with all our missionaries of the PIE Ukraine mission, carry out this service: we help those in need, help refugees, sow the Word of God in season and out of season, we pray and encourage all people to pray. We are grateful to God that our region is calm and not bombed by enemy missiles. Therefore, God gives us these good conditions to serve people in our region - Glory to God!

6.Prayer needs:

-Pray for the War to end in Ukraine and Israel, if it is the will of the Lord.

-Pray with us for our brother in the Lord who was captured by enemies. His name is Sergei Sugu. He has a family at home, a wife and son. We help them financially with food, but they need our prayers. So that God would help free Sergei’s husband from captivity and so that he could come to the family.

-Pray that there will be no more missiles arriving in our region, and also that the arrival of shells will stop in those cities of Ukraine where they are often bombed with shells.

-Pray for those people who attended these evangelizations and listened to the Word of God. So that they repent. Pray for the villages of Balkovtsy and Podvirnoe. These are large villages, but very few people are being saved.

-Pray for our missionaries of the PIE Ukraine mission so that they do not get tired of doing good by helping people in need.

-Pray for my family too, that the Lord will give us health, wisdom and zeal to serve in God’s Vineyard.

We are very grateful to God for you, dear brothers and sisters from the USA, and we always pray for you that the Lord will bless you and give everyone a hundredfold blessing. Please accept the most sincere greetings from my family.

With love to you family PETIKHACHNYY PAVLO and LARYSA.

8.Ministry of the Sisters

-This year, a sister came to us from the USA who gave eyepieces to people. In the beginning, pastor brothers from the USA evangelized people, and then these people received eyepieces. When this service was held, among these people there were people who repented.

-Bible lessons were held in churches with our sisters so that they would not get tired of helping orphans, immigrants, widows and the sick.

-Our sisters constantly pray, organize prayer meetings of sisters, had a 3-day camp for widows this summer, the sisters also prepare food for the soldiers who defend Ukraine and transport this food to combat zones.

9.Prayer needs:

-Pray for peace in Ukraine.

-Pray for our missionaries from the PIEI Ukraine mission that God will protect us, our families and our churches from all evil during this difficult time for us in Ukraine.

-Pray for those 50 teenagers who repented at the camp in Boyany this summer. Already 2 of them have received water baptism, but we pray to God that He would convince the rest so that they would grow in faith, and they too would take such a step.

-We thank God for the mission of PIEI America, and Romania for the fact that they greatly help our country with everything necessary. And with this help we help other people in need.

Difficult places in the Bible

Dear brothers and sisters from the USA, we greet you with the love and peace of Jesus Christ.

I am grateful to God for protecting us and our Bukovina from the arrival of missiles, suicide bombers and drones. Thank God that we still have a peaceful sky, although we are very afraid, because everywhere, in other regions of Ukraine, rockets are flying and destroying everything, innocent people are dying. Last night a rocket arrived in the village of Groza, Kharkov region. 51 people were killed, including children. The Kherson region, Nikolaev region, and Odessa region are also being bombed. We constantly pray about this, so that the Lord will help protect people from these cities and villages from the arrival of these missiles. Only the Lord can help us to stop this terrible war.

1.Breadbreaking

-On October 1, the Lord helped me to break bread in our church and in the church in the village of Balkovtsy. We had a blessed meeting and at the end of this service we had the joy that one man about 70 years old repented. We have been praying for him for a long time, his name is Paul. Glory to God! We pray that the Lord strengthens his faith.

The Lord also helped me visit 5 sick people at home who joyfully received Holy Communion because the Lord also gave them the opportunity to remember the death and suffering of Jesus Christ. We also visited Sister Jeta, my brother’s wife, who is suffering from cancer and for whom we pray. Thank God, she stopped having severe bone pain that was simply unbearable for her to endure. She continues to undergo treatment, but she is already feeling a little better, for which she is very grateful to God and those who pray for her.

2.Bible Institute

-I conducted a session at the Bible Institute with 25 students: “Difficult places in the Bible.” This includes the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Together with them we went through 12 lessons, each of which is stronger than the other. I am very glad that all students are making every effort to understand this truth.

-At the end of the lesson, we prayed for each other so that each of us would be freed from the obstacles that prevent us from studying the Bible, and pass it on to others. These students are from different regions of Ukraine who want to prepare new students for the crying Ukraine.

-We donate a lot to people from Ukraine, but the greatest consolation is the Love of Jesus Christ and His Living Word.

3. Also, our missionary brothers from our mission help refugees who live among us, and brother missionary Gregory Kioresko brings food and everything necessary for living to the city of Gostomel, Kiev region. The Church of Christ was formed there and at these meetings there are always more than 200 people who need this help and also come to listen to the Word of God. We pray for such people so that they accept Christ as a Personal Savior. Also br. missionary Popov Valery works in his church, from Novoselitsa, with refugees. He gives them produce and everything they need, and they study the Word of God together. The good news is that there are many among the refugees who have repented and regularly attend church services.

4. On Sunday, October 8, we must go to church from Podvirna, where there is a small church. They invited us to celebrate the Harvest holiday together - Thanksgiving. People from the village were invited to this evangelization. We pray that everything goes well and that people respond to the invitation.

-We are also organizing evangelization in another small church on October 15, in Balkovtsy. There will also be evangelization in connection with the Thanksgiving holiday.

5.Thanksgiving:

-We thank the Lord for the fact that it is still quiet and calm here and there are no missiles arriving. Therefore, we can calmly serve the Lord here.

-We always thank God for you, for your prayerful support, for your help, through which we can continue to support and help people who are in material need.

6.Prayer needs:

-Pray with us for the war in Ukraine to end.

-So that the Lord protects us and all people from Ukraine from missile attacks, because so many people and children die because of these missiles.

- Pray that all the people who heard the Word of God at our evangelizations would repent.

-Pray also for the two evangelizations that we will have in Podvirnoe and Balkovtsy. So that all those who were invited would come. And so that the Holy Spirit awakens people to repentance through sermons or through songs of praise.

-Pray for me too, that the Lord will bless me and give me health, strength and wisdom from above to serve the Lord.

And we very much thank the Lord for you, dear brothers and sisters from the USA - our partners in evangelism here in Ukraine. We always pray for you that the Lord will bless you, your families, your churches and your country USA. May you always have a peaceful sky and may the peace of God be in your country.

Thanksgiving Day

We greet you brothers and sisters from the USA with the love and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ!

I am grateful to God for His mercy towards us, for the fact that He protects us and helps us in our ministry here in Ukraine, although this difficult war has been going on in Ukraine for more than 600 days. But thank God that these enemy missiles are not coming to us, although missiles arrived 100 km from us in the Khmelnitsky region and 250 km in Lviv this week. There was great destruction and people were injured. Also, rockets are bombing Kyiv all the time. We pray for all the people who are going through these trials, that the Lord will protect everyone from these drones and missiles.

1. September 17, the Lord helped us celebrate Thanksgiving Day. Together with the church, we thanked God for all the blessings, for the bread, for the wonderful vegetables and fruits that He blessed us with this year. Thank God that we have enough food, and we can also help other people who are in need. We had a blessed evangelistic meeting where everyone, from the least to the greatest, glorified God and thanked Him for His mercy and kindness to us. Blessed psalms, poems, and sermons inspired by the Holy Spirit were also heard, Glory to God. There were also 5 souls at this evangelization who have been attending our services all summer. We pray for them that they will repent.

Also at the end of the meeting, we took all the gifts of earth that had gathered that day to the sick and poor. These people thanked God for these wonderful blessings.

2. On September 10, we had a meeting of all leaders of children’s and youth ministries in churches in the Novoselitsky district. There was a re-election of the leader for children's and adolescent ministry in this area and unanimously everyone chose our brother, pastor missionary Igor Dzyadik. Let us pray for the ministry of Brother Igor.

3. Also this week, the ministry committee for sisters had a meeting where they discussed and prayed for the ministry of all our sisters from the Chernivtsi region. We discussed how to better organize a regional sister conference from November 11, how to organize prayer on the first Monday of November, when there will be a world day of fasting and prayer for sisters. Thank God it was a blessed meeting. May the Lord help all the sisters of our region in this wonderful service for the Lord, and may the Lord hear all the prayers of our prayer sisters.

4. God helped me teach a group of students lessons from textbook No. 4, Revelation of John the Theologian. We pray that these students have the desire to continue these lessons.

5.Thanksgiving:

-We never tire of thanking the Lord for the fact that He protects our region where we live from missile attacks and we can serve Him here calmly.

-We thank the Lord for you, brothers and sisters from the USA, our partners in evangelism here in Ukraine, for helping us and supporting us here in our ministry for God.

-Thank you for praying for the team of brother pastor missionary Kioresko Gregory, who arrived from Gostomel safely, and today they went there again to bring food to people and also to proclaim the Word of God to 250 people.

-We thank God for our daily bread and for the wonderful harvest of products with which the Lord blessed us this fall, so that we, in turn, also bless poor people.

6.Prayer needs:

-Pray with us for God’s continued protection of our Bukovina from the arrival of enemy missiles and drones. For this terrible war to end.

-Continue to pray for Lyudmila and Maria, who want to be baptized but have obstacles from their unbelieving husbands. Pray for this need too.

-Continue to pray for our volunteers who bring humanitarian aid to people in need in Gostomel, and in other cities of Ukraine that are in places of hostilities. So that God’s protection would always be with them, and the Word of God would be preached there in the Power of the Holy Spirit, so that many more people would accept Jesus Christ as a Personal Savior in their hearts.

-Pray for the ministry of our sisters.

-Pray for the ministry of our leaders with children and teenagers in our schools.

-Pray for my family, that the Lord will give us health to serve in God’s Vineyard.

We also pray for you brothers and sisters from the USA, that the Lord will bless you, your families, your churches and your country USA. May the Lord return and reward you with a hundredfold blessing!

With love to you family PETIKHACHNYY PAVLO and LARYSA.

Regional meeting

Dear brothers and sisters, our evangelistic partners from the United States, we greet you with the love and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I am grateful to God that our region is still peaceful and calm against the backdrop of this terrible war. Although sirens sound every day, so far we have not had any missiles arrive. For this reason, in other cities there are missiles flying into residential buildings and in central markets where civilians walk. So on September 6, a rocket fell on a market from Konstantinovka, Donetsk region, resulting in 17 dead (among them children) and 34 wounded. This is terrible. On September 8, at night, they hit Krivoy Rog and Summy. Again, many civilians were hurt. We pray that this horror ends soon in our Ukraine.

I am grateful to the Lord that the month of August was a blessed month for my ministry, because God gave me success in this ministry.

1.Baptism:

-At the beginning of August, I was invited to the church from Kotileve, where 4 souls were baptized, and on September 3, I was invited to the church in the village of Rokitne, where the pastor, our missionary, brother Kioresko Gregory, serves, and where 3 souls were baptized, one young guy and Two women. There were many people from the world at this evangelistic meeting, since our sisters had recently repented and had unbelieving children in their families. And one sister, her name is Natasha, she is one of the migrants. She repented here and wanted to be baptized. Many of these non-believers promised to come to church. They really enjoyed listening to the Word of God. I preached the Word of God before the breaking of bread.

-In the near future, 2 souls will be baptized in our church in Nesvoya. We pray for them. These are two women whose husbands are unbelievers. And they have big problems because of their husbands. But we believe that God solves all our problems. So everything will be fine for our sisters, Lyudmila and Maria.

2. Regional meeting of church ministers in the Chernivtsi region:

-From August 29 to 31, there was a regional meeting of ministers of the ECB church of our region, with their spouses, in Boyany. I put a lot of effort into organizing this meeting with the ministers. There were many ministers from the Novoselitsky district, thank God, because this area is close and they came through the fields directly to Boyany. There were also many ministers of the ECB Church from other areas of our region. We had a blessed three-day meeting with ministering brothers and their wives.

The main sermon was delivered by Brother Antonyuk Valeriy, Bishop of the ECB Church of all Ukraine, on the topic: Blind spots in the ministry of church ministers.

3. Re-election of a new director of children’s and youth ministry:

-On Sunday, September 10, we have a meeting for all leaders of children’s and youth ministries, ECB churches of the Novoseletsky district. There will be a re-election of a new leadership leader in ministry with children and teenagers in churches in our area. One of the candidates for this ministry is brother pastor missionary Igor Dzyadyk. We pray that he will be chosen for this ministry.

4.Evangelism in other churches:

-Organized an evangelization meeting in Balkovtsy. There weren’t many people at this evangelization, but we believe that at the next evangelization the Lord will help us organize better so that more people come to listen to the Word of God.

5.Thanksgiving:

-We thank God for you, those who serve with us, pray for us and help us financially. In this way we have success in the gospel.

-We are grateful to God for helping us organize such a wonderful camp in Boyany where 150 teenagers and young men studied the Word, and 2 of them received water baptism. We pray for all those 50 souls who repented in the camp, that the Lord would strengthen them in faith and that they too would enter into a covenant with God through water baptism.

-We are grateful to God for peace and tranquility in Bukovina and we can still work fruitfully in the Lord’s Field.

6.Prayer needs:

-Pray for those souls who were baptized this summer, and for those who have not yet been baptized. So that the Lord strengthens them all in faith. Pray for our two sisters from my church who want to be baptized but are blocked by their unbelieving husbands (their names are Sister Lyudmila and Sister Maria).

-Pray for those who repented in our camp so that their desire to study the Word of God does not go away.

-Pray for serving our mission among young people, teenagers and children. So that many of them will be kindled to serve Christ.

-Pray for brother missionary pastor Grigory Kioresko and his team who are now in Gostomel, Kyiv region. They are bringing humanitarian aid, and will also preach to these people about the love of Christ. So that the Lord will always preserve them, on these volunteer roads in cities that are located near the combat zone.

-Pray for all our missionaries who help the displaced people who live among us here, and also proclaim the Word of God to them. So that there is repentance among these migrants.

- Pray for an end to this terrible war in Ukraine. So that peace can finally come to Ukraine.

- So that there are no missiles arriving either in our region, where we live, or in other regions of Ukraine. This war brought us many victims, people and children.

We also pray for you, brothers and sisters from the USA - our partners in the gospel here in Ukraine. We thank you for everything you do for us and pray that the Lord will return a hundredfold blessing to you, your families, your churches and your country. Be blessed!

With love to you family PETIKHACHNYY PAVEL and LARYSA.

PIE meeting

We greet you with the love and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ, dear brothers and sisters from the PIEI USA mission - our partners in evangelism here in Ukraine!

I thank God for peace and tranquility in our region, where we live, in this difficult time of the war in Ukraine. For 542 days this war has been raging, rockets have been flying to our cities and villages and destroying houses, killing civilians and children. This week, one rocket fell 50 km from Chernivtsi, our city. This is in Kolomyia, Ivano-Frankivsk region. The 8-year-old boy could not be saved by the doctors. What a pity! But how many children and people in other cities suffered. Only God can stop this terrible war. Only God can protect us from these horrors.

1. We are grateful to God that after that we saw off our guests from the USA, then we were able to gather with our missionaries and summed up our work with the camps this summer, discussed all the pluses and minuses of our ministries. We prayed and thanked God for the protection of us, our guests from the USA and also our children in these camps. They thanked for the Holy Spirit who led these ministries and prompted people to repentance - Praise God! We also prayed for each other so that the Lord would continue to protect us from all evil and guide the Holy Spirit and further our ministry here, where we are.

2. I had the opportunity to visit a church from the village of Kotileve on August 6, where the pastor is our brother missionary Igor Dzyadik. 4 people were baptized by him. One family is Valentina and Fyodor, a woman Lisa and a girl Suzanna, who repented in our camp. Thank God there was a blessed evangelistic meeting, where there were many people from unbelievers and heard the Word of God. The choir from Chernivtsi glorified God through beautiful singing and poetry. There were blessed sermons. We pray that the Holy Spirit will work on the hearts of people who have not yet accepted the Lord in their hearts. After the service, we had a table of love where everyone communicated together, thanked and glorified the Lord for His gifts and for His mercy to us.

3. I also had the opportunity to visit the village of Zhilovka where they had the funeral of a young woman. She was only 47 years old. There were a lot of unbelieving people, at this funeral the Word of God was preached in the power of the Holy Spirit. We pray that this Word will touch the hearts of these people and that they will repent before it is too late.

4. Thanksgiving:

We thank the Lord for His mercy on us. For the fact that we are still quiet and peaceful and we can serve the Lord calmly.

- We thank you brothers and sisters from the USA for your prayers for us and for Ukraine, for your material support. May God bless you a hundredfold.

3. Prayer needs:

-Pray with us for peace to come to Ukraine. We hope in God that only He can stop this terrible war.

-Pray for our church from Nesvoi. We have a baptism at the beginning of the month of September. There are 4 souls who want to be baptized. We pray for them that God will strengthen their faith. And so that it was peaceful and there were no arrivals of enemy missiles.

-Pray for my family so that the Lord strengthens our health, so that my wife and I can serve the Lord zealously and with love.

And we pray for you, brothers and sisters, that the Lord bless you, your families, your churches, and your country USA. Please accept my heartfelt Christian greetings from my family. Be blessed, our dear brothers and sisters from the USA, our partners in evangelism here in Ukraine!

With love to you, the Petikhachnyy Pavlo and Larysa family.
