Christmas for children

Dear brothers and sisters of the PIEI organization, we greet you with the love and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We thank the Lord that by His mercy and grace, we were able to live one month of this new year - the first month of 2024, continuing to serve our Lord, together with you, our partners from the USA, in preaching the gospel here in Ukraine.

1. On January 7, in our area, people celebrate the Nativity of Christ, and we organized evangelism with children in our church. Children from our church took part, as well as children from our village from non-believing families. The children were given lessons from the Bible related to the Birth of the Lord Jesus Christ. How the Son of God became incarnate through Mary, how the Messiah-Savior of the world was born. The children asked many questions to their teachers, and they also had Bible competitions and games. They found these lessons very interesting and enjoyable. And at the end of the program, all the children received gifts.

2. The youth of our church walked around the village with carols and spread the good news throughout the village in many houses both in the village of Tarasovtsy and in the village of Vanchikovtsy. Everyone they visited was given a spiritual calendar.

3. During this time of winter we visit the sick and members of our church. We have conversations with them from the Holy Scriptures, they tell us about their problems and their illnesses. We pray with them and encourage them through the Word of God. Such discussions and conversations bring us closer to each other. And when I learn from them about their needs, I know what to pray to God for our sick. And I myself am strengthened in faith through such communications with our brothers and sisters.

4.Thanksgiving

-I thank the Lord for having good opportunities for evangelism this month.

-We thank God for you, dear brothers and sisters from the USA, because you are a blessing and great support for us both spiritually and materially.

5.Prayer needs:

-Pray with us for all those who have heard the Word of the Gospel this month, that the Spirit of God will prompt them to repentance.

-Continue to pray for our country and for the country of Israel, so that the Lord will intervene, because only God can make the war end.

-Pray for me too that the Lord will give me wisdom, health and zeal for the gospel.

-Thank you, brothers and sisters from the USA, for helping us in ministries in Ukraine, supporting us both in your prayers and financially. And also in your spirit you are always close to us, we always glorify God and always thank the Lord for you. We love you too and are always praying for you. We also wish you peace and blessings from heaven from the Lord.

With love to you, the Gortopan family.

Nativity of Christ

Dear brothers and sisters from the PIEI organization, we greet you with the love and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ! Only through the grace and mercy of our Lord we survived until the end of the year 2023, a difficult year for our country, when there is a terrible war that has brought so many lost lives of young, children and old, so many tears of separation in families. Many were left without a home and were forced to come to our region where they found refuge in our region. There are empty houses in our village where the owners have moved and are working abroad, and these displaced people live in their houses. And we praise God for the fact that our region is still calm, and we can help those who need our help.

1. In the month of December, which is the month of gifts, my family and I prepared food packages for poor families from our village, for displaced people who live among us, and for frail old people.

2. On December 25, we celebrated the Nativity of Christ together with our church. There was a blessed service where everyone who wanted to glorify our Lord Jesus Christ the Messiah, from children and young people to anyone who wanted to, even those who were already old, participated in this program. The good news is that non-believers were also present at our worship. We pray for them.

3. I am happy for one young girl, Evelina, who repented at the camp this summer in Boyany. She takes an active part in the youth worship group. I put one photo of her glorifying God through singing.

4. In the last week of this year we had prayer services every day. Every day we had prayer needs for our country, for the leadership of our country, for the end of the war, for the repentance of our people, for the growth of our faith and for the readiness of the Church of Christ for the coming of Christ. And also about other prayer needs of our church.

5. Thanksgiving:

-We thank the Lord for helping us in everything so far, protecting us, and taking care of us.

-I thank the Lord that we have you, true friends, brothers and sisters in Christ, who help us and support us in this difficult time for us.

6. Prayer needs:

-Please pray for Evelina, that the Lord will strengthen her faith, and that the devil will not deceive her because we are now living in difficult times, I mean spiritually.

-We continue to pray for peace in Ukraine and for peace in Israel.

-We pray for this coming year, 2024, that the Lord will bless it, and that He will bless us all with wisdom from above.

At the end of this year, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts, our brothers and sisters in the United States who serve God with us. This year has been a difficult year, but you have been a consolation, encouragement, and support for us. We are very grateful to the team led by brother Cornel Stef and sister Gabriella, who had the courage to come to Ukraine.

The Christian youth camp in Boyany was wonderful, and we are now seeing good results, Thank God!

In this New Year 2024, we wish you peace in your hearts, joy in Christ, and many abundant blessings from God!

With love to you, the Gortopan family.

Ministering brothers conference

Dear brothers and sisters from the PIEI organization, we greet you with the love and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ!

1. Because we have a war in Ukraine, and because we are having a difficult time now, guests come to visit us, especially brothers from Romania. We organize conferences, and ministerial brothers from Romania minister the Word at these conferences. This month 4 ministering brothers from Romania came to us and we organized large evangelizations to our church. We are pleased that non-believers also come to these Evangelizations.

-On the last Sunday of this month, we organized an Evangelization with a group of singers from Chernivtsi. The service was in Ukrainian and we invited many displaced people to this service. We pray for them that they will repent.

2. We held funerals where the Word of God was preached in the Power of the Holy Spirit. One sister died at the age of 99. All her relatives were unbelievers, and everyone listened to the Word of God. We pray for these people too. For us, such evangelizations are a joy, because we can serve the Word to people who have not yet known the love of Jesus Christ.

3. Our sisters from the church, every Saturday, have prayer meetings and pray earnestly so that the war in Ukraine will end. And there were also topics for prayer so that we would not be afraid of any horror and misfortune that could befall us at any moment. We must trust only in God and entrust our lives in His Holy Hands.

-November 6, also, our sisters had a day of fasting and prayer. Together with all the Baptist sisters from all over the world, they prayed on the topic: “Uniting all the sisters from the Baptist brotherhood to convince people for Christ.”

We also collected funds that we sent to help serve people in need.

4. Two of our brothers from our church went with a bus loaded with food products to the war zone. Thank God that they came home safe and sound, and for the fact that they brought joy to people who need it.

5.Thanksgiving:

-We thank God for having good opportunities to preach the Gospel to many unbelievers.

-We thank God for peace and tranquility in our region and we have the opportunity to help displaced people.

6.Prayer needs:

-Pray with us about ministry with displaced people, because this is a very important ministry that we have at the moment during this time of war in Ukraine.

-Let us pray for those unbelievers who heard the Word of God this month.

-Pray for me that the Lord will give me the necessary Words of His when I preach the Gospel.

And to you, brothers and sisters from the USA, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your financial support, for your encouragement and for your prayers. You are a great blessing and support for us.

And we pray for you and wish you great and abundant blessings from our Lord Jesus Christ.

With love to you, the Gortopan family.

Evangelization with the displaced people

Dear brothers and sisters, we greet you with the love and peace of Jesus Christ! I magnify the Lord because only He cares and takes care of us in this service that we do before Him here in Ukraine.

1. This month, together with our church, we held a funeral for one brother deacon at the age of 89, who lived among us as an immigrant from Irpen, Kyiv region. The Word of God was preached both at the pre-funeral service and on the second day at the brother’s funeral. Many of the unbelieving people were at this funeral and heard the Word of the Gospel preached in the power of the Holy Spirit.

2. We had evangelization with the displaced people who live among us, where one brother, an immigrant from Lugansk, a city that is under occupation, preached. He had a strong testimony along with his wife. His wife herself is from the USA but has been living in Ukraine for 33 years. At the end of this evangelization, each of the settlers received one package of food for which these people were very grateful to God and our church.

3. At the end of the month we had 2 evening evangelisms with 2 brothers from Romania. One brother preached the Word of God, and the other brother was a good singer and praised God through singing. We pray for those unbelievers who visited our church during these days of evangelization.

4.Thanksgiving:

-We thank God that this month we have had wonderful opportunities to proclaim the Gospel to people.

-We always thank God for you, dear brothers and sisters from the USA, because you are a very good support for our ministry here in Ukraine during this difficult time for us.

-We are also grateful to the Lord for the fact that in our region it is still quiet and calm, without the arrival of enemy missiles, and we can work here in God’s Field to serve in the church, as well as to help people in need.

5.Prayer needs:

-Let's pray together for Ukraine and for Israel where this bloody war broke out. The Lord can stop all this. We trust in Him.

-Pray for the unbelieving people who heard the Word of the Gospel preached this month.

-Pray for me and my family that the Lord will protect us and that we will always remain in His Truth.

We are sincerely grateful to you, brothers and sisters from the USA, for the fact that in various difficult life situations through which we went through, you always prayed for us, supported us and helped us financially. We always praise and thank God for you, brothers and sisters from the USA - our partners in the gospel here in Ukraine!

We always pray for you, love you and wish you abundant blessings from God and the peace of Christ to always be among you and with you!

With love, the Gortopan family.

Thanksgiving day

Dear brothers and sisters of PIEI America, we greet you with the love and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ!

I praise the Lord for having lived through blessed days this month when I saw every day the support and protection of God in my ministry.

1. At the beginning of September we had an evangelization in our church with one brother preacher from Romania. One family also praised God through singing, where both parents and children are all singers - Glory to God! Unbelieving people also came to this evangelization and listened to the Word of God. We pray for them.

2. Our church collected 1000 dollars for one church from Kyiv. They bought a two-story house. On the first floor they will have a Rehabilitation Center, and on the second floor there will be a House of Prayer. We have had ties with this church since the beginning of the war in Ukraine. Many of them lived among us as refugees. And now, when it is already calm there, they have gone home, and we are helping them in this ministry.

-We also helped several refugee families from our village who need our help.

3. On the last Sunday of September, we celebrated, together with the church, the Harvest holiday - the Day of thanksgiving to the Lord our God for all the gifts of the earth this year. There was a rich program where children, youth and everyone from the church participated, who had a poem or psalms to glorify God on this wonderful Thanksgiving day. The whole church offered prayers of thanksgiving to the Lord for the wonderful harvest that God sent to us on earth.

4.Thanksgiving:

-I always thank the Lord for you, brothers and sisters from the USA, for the fact that you always support us in your prayers and help us financially to support our ministry here in Ukraine.

-We thank God that we live in a blessed place, where during this war it is calm and we can help everyone who needs help, as well as our refugees.

5.Prayer needs:

-Pray with us for all the people who heard the Word of the Gospel this month in different ways.

-Continue to pray for our Ukraine so that the Lord will have mercy on us and stop this difficult war that brings so much suffering, pain of separation and death.

-Pray for me that the Lord will give me wisdom from above to serve God and that the Holy Spirit will fill me always when I tell people about Christ.

And to all our evangelism partners from the PIEI organization, we are very grateful to you for everything you do for us here. May the Lord return your blessings a hundredfold for your work and support in service for Christ. We love you and are always praying for you. Be blessed by God!

With love to you, the Gortopan family.
