Dear brothers and sisters from the USA - our partners in evangelism here in Ukraine, we greet you with the peace and love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We are very grateful to God for His protection and preservation in this month, January, the first month of 2025. And in this month we had great blessings, because we were able to proclaim the Word of God to many people who wanted to listen and study the Word of God.
1. Ministry with orphans
- We are grateful to the Lord for helping us and our church to serve orphans and widows this month. Thank you for your prayers for us and as we wrote to you in previous reports, on January 17-18 we had meetings with orphans and widows from Chernivtsi.
- Our church prepared good gifts for these meetings, which we presented to each person who came to these meetings.
- The first meeting was in a boarding school in Sadgora, 5 km from Chernivtsi. About 200 people live there. There are widows and orphans from this war, and migrants who left their land because they have nowhere to live, lost their homes, many of them are disabled. We organized a good Christmas program for them and then gave them the words of praise songs and sang with them glorifying the Lord. At the end, everyone received a gift from us. They thanked us and God for not forgetting about them. We also invited them to come for the whole day to Kovelskaya Street 25, the Bible Center, in May, where we will organize an orphan and widow day. Then we want to organize a whole day of rest for them where we will prepare a festive lunch and breakfast. Also games for orphans. We pray that God blesses us and these people so that there will be a blessed meeting and that the Name of the Lord will be glorified among us. - We also visited families who took 10-15 orphans from an orphanage under guardianship. These are 5 families. There was one family that came from Dnepropetrovsk, where they were bombed. They took 13 children from the boarding school under their care. We are glad that these parents teach these children to pray and thank God. These children even prayed for us and for our church from Nesvoya. They thanked both God and us for the gifts, glory to God.
-Then we visited the orphanage where there are 50 children. They were also happy and thanked us for these gifts and we invited them to come to our daytime meeting in May. They come to this meeting every year and they really like our food from the oven. May God help us so that everything is blessed. So that there is a peaceful sky. So that there are no enemy missiles, so that these people who are waiting for help and consolation from us have joy and peace in their hearts. And may the Lord give us strength, health and zeal for serving in God's Vineyard.
2. Church ministry
- We help the poor and sick people through our church and through the PIEI Ukraine mission. At the same time, we organize mini evangelisms in their homes. We distribute spiritual literature and study the Word of the Gospel with them. We answer their questions and invite them to accept Christ in their hearts. Among them were people who prayed the prayer of repentance.
3. Funeral ministry
- I preached at the funeral of one brother, where many unbelieving listeners were present. I preached about the love of God, that Christ is the light of the world and only Christ can enlighten any person. We pray for these listeners that the Lord will enlighten them.
4. Thanksgiving
- We thank God that our region is calm and peaceful, and there are no enemy missiles. Therefore, we can serve God here freely without obstacles.
- We thank God for you, brothers and sisters from the USA. For your prayers and for your help that you give us, so that we can continue to help everyone who needs help.
5. Prayer requests:
-Please pray with us for the war in Ukraine to end. For them to stop bombing houses in Ukraine, because many civilians are dying because of these bombings.
-Pray that we can organize a day of rest for orphans and widows in May. We are waiting for the blessing of our Lord. So that the Name of the Lord will be glorified among widows and orphans.
-Pray for those people who heard the Word of God this month, so that the Lord will bless their hearts and test them for repentance.
-Pray that the Lord will bless us with health and the power of the Holy Spirit for service in His Field. And that the Lord will protect and save us, missionaries of the PIEI Ukraine mission, from all evil.
