Trip to Alba

Dear brothers and sisters from the USA - our partners in evangelism here in Ukraine, we greet you with the love and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We are very grateful to God for His protection and defense that we had on our trip to Romania, in the city of Alba Iulia, where we visited our brothers and sisters from the mission PIEI Romania. We had a team of 5 people from our mission PIEI Ukraine. And there was a blessed conference where the speakers were brothers from the USA. Of course, we wanted all our missionaries from Ukraine to be present, but considering that our young brothers cannot cross the border because of this war, there were fewer of us than brothers from Ukraine.

1. So we left Ukraine on October 10 and were already in Alba in the evening. There we met with brother Cornel Stef with his wife Gabi, as well as with the Popa family Alex and Rodica. It was a blessed meeting with these families and with brother Walter Windsor, who are members of the PIEI America mission committee. We had many questions that we had to solve and thank God our brothers from the USA helped us.

Also on the second day, brother Cornel Stef helped us visit the place where the PIEI Romania mission camp is located. This camp is on the highest mountain - a wonderful place. We, missionaries from the PIEI Ukraine mission, together with our families, were invited by brothers from Romania to come to this camp in the summer, together with our families, where a family spiritual seminar will be held. It is very beautiful and healthy there. The air is fresh from the mountain and the nature is wonderful. May God grant that this war in Ukraine will end so that we and other young families can come to Romania for this seminar. We are very grateful to the brothers and sisters from Romania for their hospitality, especially Eugenia and Violeta Stef, as well as Alice and Mike Dima. We wish them abundant God's blessings. In the evening we had lectures with brother Norm Wakefield from the USA on the topic: Ministry of a man or in English “Equipping Men”, “God’s Blueprind for the Family”.

It was a very relevant topic for the family, for fathers and sons.

We invited brother Norm here in Ukraine to conduct such a seminar so that more people could hear such relevant and instructive topics.

My wife also had a meeting with sisters missionaries from Romania where they studied the topic of suffering and testing our faith in our daily lives. They also had a prayer hour, together with Gabriella’s sister Stef

And on Saturday we already returned to Ukraine, because we had to arrive before 12:00 at night already at our homes, in Ukraine. From 12:00 to 05:00 in the morning we had a curfew and no one has the right to move either by car or on foot, at this time, because the roads are patrolled by the military. Thank God we arrived on time, although the road was difficult and tiring, but the Lord helped us all to get safely to our homes. Thank you for your prayers, we felt them.

2. Also on October 23, our missionaries of the PIEI Ukraine mission had a meeting in Novoselytsia in the Emmanuel church, where the pastor of the church is our brother missionary Popov Valeriy. There I told our brother missionaries about our trip to Romania and about the lectures of brother Norm from the USA. I also said that we invited brother Norm Wakefield from the USA to us in Ukraine, so that we could organize such a seminar here. The missionary brothers were very pleased and happy to welcome such a brother to us in Ukraine.

Also, all our missionaries gave reports on the work done in their missionary points. We were very happy to hear about the ministry of our missionaries among their churches, among people in need during this difficult time of war, about the ministry among children and teenagers - Glory to God!

At the end of the meeting of our missionaries, we again prayed fervently for peace in Ukraine, for the elections in the USA that will be on November 5, so that the Lord would put at the head of the US state the person who is by the will of the Lord. We prayed for our sponsors from the USA so that the Lord would bless them and their families.

3. Thanksgiving:

-We thank our Lord for the protection and defense on the road to the trip to Romania.

-We always thank the Lord for you, brothers and sisters from the USA, who help and support us here in Ukraine. Thank you for your prayers.

-We thank God that in our region where we live, missiles do not fly and so far it is quiet and calm. Therefore, it is not difficult for us to serve God here where we are.

-We also thank God for the opportunity to serve both the Word and holy deeds to the people who live among us, the needy and the displaced.

4. Prayer needs:

-Pray with us for peace in Ukraine, for the war to end so that we, the servants of God, could serve peacefully in the Field of God.

-So that there would be no enemy missiles that destroy everything and kill people and children.

-Pray for us and our families so that the Lord would protect us from all evil in this difficult time of war in Ukraine.

-Pray for those people who heard the good news of the Gospel this month, so that the Lord would touch their hearts and they would repent.

We always pray for you, brothers and sisters from the USA, our partners in evangelism here in Ukraine. Thank you for your support and for your prayers for us. May the Lord bless you abundantly. Please accept heartfelt greetings in the Name of Jesus Christ from my family and from all our missionaries of the PIEI Ukraine mission.

With love to you, the PETIKHACHNYY PAVEL & LARISA family.
