Youth Evangelism and Discipleship Training
BYMR started in the field of youth ministry, and that work continues today.We are committed to training our youth to not only bring people to a personal knowledge of Christ but to also make them disciples – the final command of Jesus. Our discipleship training gives our youth opportunity to grow closer to God, discover his gifts and his part in God’s purposes for the communities. BYMR discipleship training helps young people to explore the bible and relationship with God for knowing Him better. And then later, they put knowledge into action by serving others and making God known in Rwanda and broad.
Children’s Ministry
Children’s Ministries mission is about developing resources that foster the faith of children, aged from birth through to fourteen, to make them disciples. Children’s Ministries department looks and works to equip churches, families, and every other person that may have any spiritual influence on the children, with resources and training to connect children to a lifelong, loving relationship with Jesus.
Church Planting
We are dreaming an explosion of church planting in many places in Rwanda as our church planters boldly declare the name of Jesus with miracles accompanying the preaching of God’s Word. Church planting happens when these disciples gather together for fellowship, prayer, and the study of God’s Word, and numbers grow to the point where new pastoral leaders are appointed and a new church springs up out of this growth. Below we have some pictures from our church plant in Gicumbi district.
Sport Ministry
BYMR seeks to bring Rwandan youth into a relationship with Jesus Christ through the avenue of sports. Once they have accepted Christ they will receive discipleship training on how to present Christ to others. Once becoming an active Christian, they will want to take Jesus to their family, church, and the country.
Mercy Ministry
BYMR supports the poor families and oppressed, showing the love of God to those in need. This is done to help those who do not have basic needs met, food and clothing primarily, especially the widows, orphans, and those with debilitating diseases. This is done in order that Christ’s love would be shown and that they would draw close to Him, and then after serve him and make Him known in their communities.
Orphan and Education Ministry
BYMR supports orphans and street kids in education by giving them school materials such as books, notebooks, pens, bags, and by paying school fees. Nevertheless, we still have a huge financial barrier to meet all our budget needs due to the big number of children in need. But we pray and believe in a God who provides more.
Media Ministry
We now have an evangelism program on Tv and Radio in Kigali and northern province of Rwanda where we experience a great success and more people hear the gospel and continue to join our ministries vision. We even get comments of people from neighboring countries such Uganda and Burundi who listen to us through those radios and TV’s evangelism programs. In addition, we are using the Jesus film to bring the Gospel in new towns and cities in an inviting way, simply sharing the story of our Lord.
