Sawado Nshimiyimana
I was born in 1982 in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) formerly Zaire in Kivu province. My parents were farmers in the rural areas. In my childhood I used to see my father praying each and every day and later he became a pastor in our village. Most of the time every child growing up want to become like his dad, I have also grown up wanting to be like my father. After the Genocide of 1994 in Rwanda, my family that was living in the DRC then moved back to Rwanda when I was in high school. It is at that time that I met with a preacher called Adolphe Gatabazi. One day when he was preaching in our church I found myself crying and decided to approach him after service and had him pray for me. For my commitment in the Ministry, I was appointed as a youth leader in our local church after one year of my salvation and was anointed as evangelist four years later.
In 2010, I started Bethel Youth Mission Rwanda with a mission of transforming youth into disciples of Jesus and fighting against poverty among them. I aim at reaching the lost by planting churches. In 2015, I got married to my wife Jolie Niyibizi, and she continued to strongly support me in my vision. Now we have a ministry in three provinces of the Rwanda and we have already planted one operating church. We still have a broad vision of reaching out on all over the country and we are praying God to be with us in that mission. Besides that, God has equipped me with some talents including evangelizing, playing piano, singing, and leadership skills, while continuing to attend discipleship training programs.
