My name is Vasile Preutesa and I am a missionary pastor in the villages of Fagadau and Vancicauti, in the district of Noua-Sulita, Chernivtsi Region, Ukraine. These villages are located in the Southwest of Ukraine, close to the Ukraine-Romania border.
I talked to a lady, a former kindergarten principal, whose name was Olga Fyodorovna. She sings in the orthodox choir and she knows the Bible very well. I suggested that she read what the Bile says about repentance, God’s love and baptism.
In January we had lots of holidays. I and my granddaughters went caroling at 50 houses including the school principal, the village mayor and other office workers of the village and teachers.
In October God helped me to visit two unsaved families in Vanchicauts. We talked a lot from the Bible. I explained them many things they didn’t know. Please pray with me for these two families, Olesya and Nicolai, and Maria and Ivan. I also invited them to church and they promised me to come.
The director of the kindergarten asked me to lead the work outside the kindergarten building where during three weeks in a row 8-10 people came every day to build some pavements from tiles. When I was healthy I could do this kind of work very well, that’s why she asked me to supervise the work.
In April we celebrated three big holidays: Annunciation on April 7th, the Palm Sunday on 9th and Easter on 16th. On these holidays I talked to a lot of people of different ages, on the roads and at their homes.
Although Fagadau is a little village, a lot of people are worried of their future. For example a young man of 23 met me and asked me how he can stay faithful to the Lord, as it is difficult nowadays to keep faith in God.
At the village of Novoselitsa I talked to the mayor. He asked me a lot of questions that were not clear for him in the Bible and I with God’s help answered at all of them.
