Dear brothers and sisters from the USA - our partners in the gospel here in Ukraine, we greet you with the love and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ!
- I am grateful to the Lord God for His protection and preservation in this month of February, this first year. I am grateful to God for His blessings in our ministry on the mission field in our area.
1. Fasting and prayer for peace in Ukraine:
- As we wrote in the previous report, on February 24 we had the All-Ukrainian day of fasting and prayer, where all believers and almost all confessions fasted and prayed before the Lord God for peace in Ukraine, for the wisdom of the president and those who lead the country, for the wisdom of other leaders of the countries of this world. Proverbs 21:1 - The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord, like the rivers of water: he turns it wherever he wishes.
- All the children of God asked for mercy from our Lord and we all hope in the Lord that He would deliver us from this war.
- Also on March 1st there was a sisterly international day of fasting and prayer, where all the sisters from our churches gathered for prayer. The theme of the meeting was "Unity of Christians - hope and strength" John 7:23 - That they may be one as we are one. I in them and you in me, that they may be perfect in one, and that the world may know that you sent me and loved them as you loved me.
Also our sisters prayed for peace in Ukraine, that the Lord would give wisdom from above to all the presidents of countries, as well as to the president of Ukraine. May the children of God live in peace and quiet, and serve the Lord.
2. Breaking Bread
- We glorified the Lord for His sufferings, remembering the sufferings and death of Christ on the cross of Calvary in the first resurrection, through the Holy Communion - Breaking Bread. Our whole church thanked God the Father for His only begotten Son for all the people of this world, that everyone who believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.
3. Visit
- Also on this day I visited 8 brothers and sisters who were sick at home, so that they could also receive Holy Communion. They were very happy that they had this opportunity, together with the church, to remember the death and suffering of Jesus Christ. I prayed for each of them that the Lord would heal them.
- I also visited the church from Podvirnoye with the Breaking of Bread. There the minister brother fell ill and we were forced to go to them. These brothers and sisters were also very happy that we visited them. We pray for those people who visit this church, so that they repent. There are two people from this village.
4. Analysis of the Word
- I am finishing analyzing the Book of Spiritual Gifts. We will then conduct this analysis of the book with the students of the Bible Institute. This is a very interesting and instructive book, as are all the Bible books. The Holy Scriptures contain the source of God's wisdom, so it is so important and necessary for everyone to study the Scriptures.
5. Thanksgiving:
-We are very grateful to God for His protection and security in our region where we live and serve Him.
-We thank the Lord for you, dear brothers and sisters from the USA, for your support in prayer and for all the help you give us.
-We thank the Lord for His blessing in our ministry here.
6. Prayer requests:
-Pray with us that the Lord will help us and liberate Ukraine, and that the long-awaited peace will come. That the Lord will give wisdom to the president and all those in leadership positions. Psalm 19:8-Some in chariots, and some in horses, but we in the name of the Lord our God will boast.
- We pray for those people who heard the Word of God this month, which we preached to them. We pray for those two people who come to church from Podvirnoye. Three people from Nesvoy come to our church regularly. We pray for them too, that the Lord will test their hearts for repentance.
- We pray that the Lord will continue to bless us in the evangelism of the Gospel, that we will not have enemy missiles flying in, so that we can serve peacefully here where we live.
- So that we can hold a Christian children's and youth camp this summer. The Lord knows our needs in this ministry. We hope in the Lord and believe that He will help us in everything.
We thank you again, brothers and sisters from the USA - our partners in evangelism here in Ukraine. We know and feel that you are praying for us. May the Lord bless you abundantly. And we love you and pray for you.
With love to you, the Petikhachnyy Pavel & Larisa family.
