Praying in the New Year

Intalnirea parintilor care au infiat copii de la orfelinat.jpg

We started the year with a week of prayer at church in which every evening we gathered for prayer. We prayed for the ministry in 2019, for the spiritual state of our church. We also prayed for our village, that more people can open their hearts and repent. In January we held a charity event called “Christmas for Orphans” for all the orphans in Chernautsi area. We hosted 200 orphans that day at the Christian Centre in Chernautsi, feeding them twice and giving each child a gift. When the children came in the morning after breakfast we divided them in two classes: the teens and the younger ones.  In the morning they had Bible lessons, watched Christmas skits and learned songs about Jesus and salvation. After lunch they went outside to play in the snow and sled. They had contests too. Some children asked God for forgiveness during the Bible lesson and promised to obey Him. We praise the Lord for this work.

A Loaded Van

At the end of January some of our Brothers in Christ from Rakitna (pastor Kioresko’s church) and Dinauts (pastor Paskari’s church) went to the war area and brought some charity to brothers and sisters there. Our mission provided the brothers that went there with our van which was loaded with food, clothes and other goods. They returned home and told us the good news that they could help 100 people in need near Donetsk, the center city of the war. We thank sister Marilyn and brother Carl Rosema for the financial help to people from the war area.

The ladies responsible for the prayer circles in their local churches met up and scheduled the ladies’ ministry for the 2019. We pray for this ministry too.

Thank you for the financial and prayer support. We pray for you and for the ministry you do in Ukraine. Let the Lord bless you with health and power from above.

Yours sincerely, Pavel and Larisa Petihachny
