What is better: obey traditions or to Christ?

Dear brothers and sisters, God bless you all. At the very beginning of this month, I was at the gas station and fueled my car and I had the opportunity to talk with the assistant of the station Valery. He is 55 and he has a wife and two children. He is my old familiar. I told him many times: Valera, stop to smoke and drinking. Your wife is in Italy. We visited this family at Christmas and sang some carols to them. Then they visited the church and were interested in reading the Bible. I asked him: Do you read that Bible we gave to you at Christmas? He replied: Yes, I do. You know, when I read the New Testament I don't understand everything. Why I can't find there that we need to wear the cross on the neck, make a cross sign, and bow before Mary and the icons? I even did not find that we need to baptize little babies. I asked him: Do you admit the Holly Bible as God`s book? Yes, I do, he responded. The same book priests have but they read only what they want and what fits their beliefs. I encouraged him to pray and ask me when he doesn't understand the Scripture. I invited him to the church and to come to God while it is not late.

In the second picture, I took two women in my car. Behind me Innesa, who is 35 and she is a children's teacher in a kindergarten. She is a singer in the orthodox choir. I met her before and shared the Gospel that a man needs to rebirth from heaven.

Close to me is Vera, who is 62. She knows me since childhood, we went to school along with her. I always tell her about God and my repentance. It is hard to accept the truth for orthodox who believe in traditions and priests. I along with my son plastered their house in 2016 for three weeks. So we had a lot of conversations about God and His love for us.

They have been at some Christian funeral evangelizations. I told them that I would pray for them may God direct them on a path of true.

Prayer needs:

2. Pray for Vera and Innesa and their families may they have a desire to know God thruly.

He can't to forget that camp

Missionary activity on Bukovina along with the mission PIEI. God bless you all. We live in the very difficult days when we have a war in Ukraine.

It is bad that although there is so great religion freedom in Ukraine, people have not understood the truth. When the pandemic has come they did not come to God but they took masks and were afraid die. The same happened when God allowed this war but people don't come to Him even now.

In the first picture I met Alex from Vanchikauts village and he is 30. When he was 12 I took him and his friends on a bus to the camp in Boyan. When he met me he admitted that he cannot forget how it was good in that camp. I remember how they taught me to pray, I liked that songs and games, And I remember that sermons. That all are unforgettable moments of my life. Sometime I attend the church, I take my family with me. I feel how I'm drawn to God. I read the Bible and pray and I want to be closer to God. I hope God does nor forsake our family. We talked of repentance and I encouraged him to not late but hurry to come to Christ.

In the second picture I stopped on the way where they were selling grocery. I sat down close to them, Grisha abd Zhenia. We are old familiar, always when we meet they say you have your faith, but we have ours. We are not against your faith, so you don't be against ours. I told them that the Bible say There is only one God, one faith, and one baptism. Firstly a man have to learn that God exists, then to believe Him, and then accept the baptism. Then Grisha asked: Why our priests don't read this text from the Bible? Zhenia replied instead of me: They read only that the supervisor said them. It is theirs job. We talked about different unbiblical holidays, about cross and cross sign. I invited them to the church.

2. Pray for Grisha and Zhenia may they read the Bible and get to know Christ.

Get the last train

Peace and grace to all missionaries around the world. We live in a hard time in Ukraine. We have a full-scale war with Russia, they bomb our cities, and kill our nation. The Word of God is fulfilled that brother will fight with brother.

In the first picture, I am with women who sell vegetables and other stuff at the bus stop. They are Maria and Aurika. Maria is about 80 and her husband died about 25 years ago. But he repented 8 days before he died. His husband Alex stole often and he was prisoned a couple of times. He visited the church several times and reconciled with God. I told Maria on his buried that it is very rare such cases when somebody repents right before death. You need to do this in time. You worship icons, kiss them, and keep orthodox traditions. On the crosses close to Christ were two thieves and both of them had a chance to receive salvation. The thief on the left blamed Jesus but the other accept Him as a King. He was crucified with nails on the cross, he did not make a cross sign on his body, he did not kiss icons, but only appealed to Jesus: Remember me when you will come to Your kingdom. Then Jesus replied to him: Truly I say to you today you will be with me in paradise. Maria, it is so easy to repent and to get into paradise, you don't need to keep all orthodox traditions. Jesus accepts thieves like your husband and like that one on the cross.

Aurika is a member of the church and she told how she accept Jesus 28 years ago. And she doesn't regret it.

In the second picture, I am with Zhenia who is around 80. She can not walk for 6 years already. She attended the orthodox church for many years and she knows a lot of verses from the Bible. She was glad to meet me and to talk about the Bible again. I encouraged her to read the Bible and to pray before the reading may God open her His will and she could taste the kindness of God. We talked for an hour. She recognizes that members of the orthodox church don't know the Scripture. She sees the hypocrisy of the priests that they only keep the job and tradition with no soul. I am glad that she reads the Bible and she sees the difference and discrepancy between tradition and the Bible.

Please pray about these women and their families.

Ministry in the hospital

The brief notes about missionary activity in Ukraine along with the PIEI mission. People are scared in Ukraine caused of the bombing, people die, many are hurt, much destruction. They destroy everything houses, schools, kindergartens, maternity hospitals etc. It is still quite in Chernivtsi region, praise the Lord. Wonder, but people are ready to hear the Gospel and they ask many questions.

In the first picture, I attended one family of Antonina Geba in the Novoselisa hospital. She is our neighbor, she is 63, she is blind for 3 years already, and she is bedridden. Close to her is her daughter Natasha and she looks after mom. I dropped them to the hospital on my car and I will take them back to home. I talked with them about God's love, His wrath and His judgement etc. Natasha reads the Bible and believe in God's miracles. I showed them a couple verses about idols and unreal gods. Jesus told to Samaritan woman what is a true worship of God. She replies: Vasia pray for me please, I want to trust God completely and become His family, but I don't have boldness for that. I promised her to pray for her and ask her to call me any time she needs or have a question. Antonina was far from God when she was healthy but now she is opened to listen to the Bible. I prayed about Antonina and her family that come to her.

In the second picture I had a talk with the Shevchuk family from Donetsk, Iryna 38, and Katerina 18. We met at the polyclinic. While they waited for the surgeon, I asked them where do they live and do they believe in God and whom they worship? Their house is in Donetsk survived despite all houses around it were destroyed. I explained them how God loves them through such circumstances. You need to read the Bible and pray God, come to church and praise the Lord for that. Then I told them my brief testimony. I invited them to the church of Novoselitsa. We talked about 30 min while surgeon had come.

Please pray for these families, may God save them.

We parse the Bible with the church. Our church is small and everyone is involved in the research.

We praise the Lord for His love to us missionaries, and for brothers and sisters from the PIE mission, for their prayers and financial support.

He gives a new world

We send to you a brother's and Christian greetings from the church of Vovchanets village and Preutesa family.

Jesus had sent His disciples to preach with no doubt the Gospel among people. So we should fulfill his commandment.

In the first picture, I am with Elena. I saw her on the bench close to her house. She is about 80. She is alone, her husband had died long ago, and her daughter left her and forgot about her. I greeted her: Christ is risen! And she replied: Truly risen! I asked her: how is going? She told that it is very difficult for her, I am alone, nobody helps me, I need to cut grass and chop the firewood.

You replied to me: Christ is risen! So He is still alive and He wants to live in your heart. Our heavenly Father gave His Son on the cross to die for us. So by His holy blood, our sin might to be cleared and we are able to receive eternal life. Jesus wants to be a friend to every one of us, so we are not alone. He loves people and He loves you. Jesus is the closest friend for orphans, widows and alone ones like you. Seek and you will find - Bible says. You need to repent and come to God`s family.

In the second picture is Leonid, he is 52. Her wife is a massager. I came to them with my wife, and while his wife was making a massage for my wife, we talked. I asked him: Have you read the New Testament? He told that the Holy Scripture is so useful for his soul, and the Gospel of John rose him to another world.

When I was young, they proposed me to read the Bible. Then I read the New Testament and God revealed a new world for me. And I became a child of God. Read, pray and repent before God, my friend. I will pray for you.

Please pray for a lonely woman, Elena, and for Leonid and his family. May God gives them new hearts where Jesus will live.

Please pray for my Wife Valentina. She needs to have a surgery, may God bless her recovery.

The blind need to see the Light of Christ

We send to you a Christian greeting to brothers of the PIEI mission and Stef family from my family and from our churches in Vovchanets and Vanchacauts. In the case of this war, people are more open to the Gospel, some of them came to the church and repented. I often meet different people on the street and visit at their homes.

In the first picture, I am with Andrew, who is 70, he has a wife Barbara and three kids. They love to listen to the Word of God, and they often invited me to home to talk with them. Andrew said: Vasia, it is hard to live holy and to be a believer in our time. I replied to him that I had been unchristian till 24, many atheists and communists laughed out of believers and of me. But I did not care, I wanted to be with God and now for 41 years as I serve God. Pray to God and seek Him, come to the church, you were for a couple of times but why stopped coming? Trust God and don't worship icons, because God hates them. God loves you and He has a family everywhere. Then we prayed together.

In the second picture is Antonina, she lives close to me. She is 64, and she is fully blind for 3 years. She experienced insult and her right arm and leg are paralyzed. She has two daughters and a son. Her husband passed away recently. We talked about many Bible topics. When her children came from Orthodox church and I just came from our baptist church, I asked them what have they hear there? Tell me and then I tell you about our program and what we heard. They told about saint Marry, saint Nickolay, traditions, etc. But I told them about Jesus as a Savior of the world, One who will judge all people, that only the Bible leads us to heaven. Then we prayed.

In the third picture are Diordiy (89) and his wife. They came here from Irpen, close to Kiyv, where was a hard war. They are living with their relatives while the war ended. They believed in God when they were young. We had good communication and encouraged each other.

Let's pray for all these people, may they come to Christ.

The wrong choice makes wrong life

Dear brothers in Christ, we live in a difficult time when we have a full-scale war where the front is 1700km long. Our soldiers defend us from occupants.

I repented in 24 and my heart feels pain when I see how young people and young families live without God.

God gives me the boldness and the desire to stop people on the street and talk with them about God.

In the first picture is Sergey, he is around 35, he has a wife and two sons. I met him on the street and asked him how he is doing because we are old familiar. Before he got married he went with us to Chernivtsi for the evangelization on the stadium Bucovina. He recognized that he takes drugs and can not drop them. Five years ago he has started. He had divorced a couple of times. Then he told: When I saw you I remembered how you gave me the advice to marry a believer girl and come to church. But I looked at my friends and took hard life. Now I suffer and I can not drop drugs. Help me please to exit from these circumstances. So, we prayed together that God opens his eyes to see what is a sin and what is the court of God. Then I invited him to the church with his family and he promised to come.

In the second picture is Ania, she is 91 and she lives alone. Her husband died a long time ago. Her daughters married and left her. She stayed at the well and wait when somebody to take water and brings it to her house. I helped her and she asked me: what will be with us? I overcame the Second World War when Russians with Ukrainians fought against germans but now Russians fight with us. Why does it happen?

I explained to her that everything that happens around us shows that people don`t have a fear of God. They don't seek God and don't love Him. It is the beginning of wisdom. Do you believe in God? She replied: yes, I do. Do you see Him? She replied: Yes, I do. I see Him when I look at icons and at the mother of Jesus Christ. I kiss the icon and make a sign of a cross at me. I explained to her that God needs worship in the spirit and truth but not with icons. She replied: I don't know how to pray correctly, can you teach me? I told her and then asked: Would you like to get to heaven after life? Yes, she said. Please pray for me may I get to know more about Jesus Christ.

We all have the owner

Peace and love of God may reign in your hearts in 2022.

When I visited tire fitting I met the owner and talked to him about the Bible.

In this picture is Anatoliy Kioresko he is an owner and he is 43. I know his family for a long time, his wife Lena and their children.

He told me that he has big trouble and I replied to him that he need to pray and read the Bible and then all problems will be solved. Bible says us: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. (1Pet.5:7) But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. (Mtw.6:33)

He asked me to for his son who is sick with chronic bronchitis.

Close to him is Oleg who is 45. He is a worker there. I and his mother are contemporary. He had a bad childhood because his father drank and beat his mother so they divorced when he was young. He did not hear the truth about God. They visited the temple only at Easter and Christmas. I asked him do you know that you are the creation of God and He loves you? Even if you are an atheist everything you see has an owner. The watch on your hand has a creator at the same way you have a creator who made you and He is our God.

God created us to thank and glory Him. But people are indifferent to the word of God. "But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. " (Mtw.12:35-36)

You have a nice family, thank God that you are still alive and pray for your family, may God change you, forgive and save you. He asked me different questions and with God`s grace, he received answers.

I prayed for them and I invited them to the church.

• Pray for me that old illness not progress. May the Holy Spirit strengthen me to serve God.

She suffers of abuse

God`s grace be upon you missionaries of the mission PIEI. We are thankful to God that the mission and Stef family support us from the USA. Some notes about spreading Gospel to people who are close to God.

People are preparing for Christmas and New year!

I attended one sick sister of our church. When I left her I saw on the opposite side of the road two women on the bench. I came close, greet them, and asked about their health.

On the right side of me is Nadezhda, who is about 80. She lives alone. She is a widow for a long time. She has two daughters whom I know and they visited our church a couple of times.

I said to Nadia Our life is so short and we do for God so little. You see how many youths are alcohol and drugs addicts, liars, thieves, and so on. We will give a report of our lives to whom we served to God or to the devil. Jesus gave His life for us to give us salvation.

I serve God from my youth and I never regret that. We are sinners and we do not deserve anything good but God is merciful to us and calls us to repentance and reconcile with Him.

On the other side is Mariya, she is 69. Her husband Ivan is an alcohol addict, she lives very hard with him. She told me how her husband came home drunk, beat her, offend her, abuse her and expel her from the house.

Many things in our lives depend on us if we invite Jesus to our life He brings us peace. Jesus came through the blame, abuse, lying, and death. And then He said Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Then I invited them to the church. And said that God wants to change their lives you need only believe Him and open your heart. You are women and you need to pray for your husbands and your children.

Pray for these women may they find God.

In divorce from wife and God

Peace and grace to all missionaries of the mission PIEI. Brief notices about my ministry in Ukraine.

It is hard to talk with people freely cause of the pandemic. They are afraid to get sick and avoid any contact.

I asked one man Petr at the store do you believe in Jesus Christ as a Son of God? He replied I don't care about it now. Then I asked him why? Do you know that God loves you? He responded Where is God? My wife is dead in the hospital due to a virus, I left with a daughter and a son. How can I live further? My wife looked after them but now I cant to work and take care of them. I consoled and compassioned him and suggested praying for him. He looked at me wondered and said you don't know me and do you want to help me? Then I asked him have you ever prayed to God? He replied Yes, I was baptized in childhood as all people. We prayed for his life and problems and after prayer, I saw tears in his eyes. I encouraged him to read the Bible and to pray to God. We exchanged phone numbers to keep in touch with him further.

In the first picture, I am with my old friend Vitaliy. He is in divorce from his first wife. He has a son 33 years old. He lives with another wife now. Several times he attended our church. But his friends laughed at him so he stopped. I said him that many people from the church will pray for you. God hates divorce. I talked about the Bible and prayed for him.

In the second picture, I am with two Marinas in the store. They work there. We are familiar for a long time and they know that I am a believer. Marina Popuk has a husband Nickolay and a daughter a son. Marina and his father often invite me to their house to talk about God. They are very attentive to me and to the Bible and asked me a lot of questions.

Marina Bodian has a husband Slavic, they do not attend any churches. So I told them that each person needs to worship someone. So you worship God or mammon. I encouraged them to read the Bible and to seek God.

Pray for all these people may they find God.
