A few highlights of missionary work led by pastor-evangelist Vasiliy Preutesa.
All the missionaries fight on the first front line preaching the Gospel to the nonbelievers. Why are they on the first line of the front? Because when going to people’s houses they can face different obstacles such as being told harmful words, being laughed at, expelling from the fence or to let the dogs run after them. Very few people are willing to ask questions or to accept you to tell them about Jesus.
In the picture I am with a former teacher of primary school from Vanchikauts, Vera Bordiian. She is 78 and has been a widow for a very long time. She is alone as she doesn’t have any children. In 1995 we used to visit her neighbor at Christmas sang carols and held evangelisms. She used to come to our evangelisms and listen to our songs. Later I started to visit her and told her about Jesus. She started to attend the church in Vanchikauts, is interested about what is written in the Bible, about God and eternal life. Last time when I visited her, I prayed for her and took a photo with her telling that the people who will see her photo will pray for her.
On the second picture is George Kelya, a former chief agronomist and atheist. For almost four years he can’t see or walk, as well as having other illnesses. I have been visiting him many times, read him the Bible and talked to him about creation, sin, God’s love, Jesus’ sacrifice and repentance. Because he was an atheist and communist before, it is complicated to talk to him. Nevertheless, I was pleased that George finally started to admit that without repentance he cannot see God. I prayed with him and told him that I will come and visit him more. On the next picture is George’s wife, Vera, the former family doctor in our village. She is 75 and in the picture is next to my wife. She also is very sick. I talked to her too about Jesus’s love, God’s forgiveness and repentance. She confessed us that she was sorry that her life has passed so quick and she didn’t understand a thing from it; that she is sorry of not serving the Lord from her youth as my wife Valentina and I did. She prays God for forgiveness and guidance to understand His path. I told her to read the bible and to continue to pray.
Prayer requests:
1 Pray for Bordiian Vera, the former teacher, Kelya George and his wife Vera, to be investigated by the Lord and accept Jesus as their personal Savior.
2 Pray for our church in Vanchikauts to grow spiritually and more people to join us. As a church we pray for the people in the village, we have bible study and serve God as we can.
3 May God bless you and all the partners of mission PIEI for prayer and financial support
With love, pastor missionary, Vasily Preutesa
